The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office features a large selection of subdivision certifications which enables our highly-trained deputies to have all the tools and resources they need to operate to the best of their ability.

These subdivisions include:
Lead by Lieutenant Adrian Gilow, the Traffic Enforcement Unit exists to enforce the rules of the road. They accomplish this by performing commercial vehicle inspections, coordinating DUI checkpoints, assisting with traffic control and deploying specialized grappler equipment to terminate pursuits promptly and safely. The Traffic Enforcement Unit also oversees the operations of the department’s Motorbike Unit.
TEU’s Motorbike Unit utilizes motorcycles, dirt bikes, and bicycles to effectively conduct traffic enforcement and crowd control thanks to their increased maneuverability and ability to sift through traffic in ways typical police cruisers cannot. The dirt bikes (utilized by off-road MBU) allow Motorbike Units to keep up excellently during pursuits that navigate beyond paved roadways.
Lead by VACANT, the Speed Enforcement Unit employs a fleet of high-performance pursuit vehicles to ensure that fugitives intending to evade law enforcement by virtue of fast cars have to think twice.
